We started ‘Begin, End, Begin: A #LoveOzYA Anthology’ yesterday. We are about 100 pages in and we are just loving these Australian authors short stories!

This book is written from the points of view of many Australian authors! The authors aim is to show and express just how much there is to love about Aussie YA!

We are so happy to report that we are now a street team member for the lovely M.C Frank! We are so excited to read and review her gorgeous novels! We hope to start the first book in her series ‘No Ordinary Star’ today. We will leave a link to the description  here 🙂

We recently finished ‘The Hate U Give’ by Angie Thomas a couple of days ago. We weren’t really sure what to expect with this book but it was absolutely incredible!

This book follows Starr, a sixteen-year-old girl who lives in two worlds: a poor neighborhood where she grew up and her posh high school. This restless balance is ruined when Starr is the witness to a devastating shooting of her best friend, Khalil who was unarmed.

This book has such an important message! We definitely recommend this powerful novel. We will post our review tomorrow, Stay tuned!

Reading Next –

We are thinking that it’s about time we finally picked up ‘Laurinda’ by Alice Pung. The author has also written a short story in ‘Begin, End, Begin’ which we can’t wait to read!

This story is focused on an exclusive school for girls ‘Laurinda’. Lucy Lam, a scholarship girl with sharp eyes is an onlooker to ‘The Cabinet’, a triangle of girls who you could say are manipulative over students as well as teachers within the school. This book is often described as a book of ‘finding ones identity’.19427841_656861857840546_574969031_n

We recently finished ‘Pointe, Claw’ by Amber J. Keyser. We finished this book yesterday and we were really surprised, we enjoyed it more than we thought we would 😊.

This book follows a pair of childhood friends who are both running out of time. Jessie is a dancer in an elite ballet program that requires her full attention and 100% perfection to land a spot in a professional company. However, as she begins to experiment throughout her dance, nothing has felt more dangerous.

Meanwhile, her friend Dawn’s life is just shattering around her. She constantly awakes in unusual places after black outs; bruised, battered and unable to speak, the doctors are out of ideas.
We really enjoyed this novel and we will post a review very soon!

As we find ourselves re-reading ‘The Selection’ series, we recently finished reading ‘The One’ by Kiera Cass this week. It was just an amazing read. We are just completely in love with this series, it’s plot and it’s characters. It’s such an intriguing and really exciting read which we would definitely recommend!

We will also have another review coming out soon for this beautifully written book.    Stay tuned!
