Currently Reading –

We started ‘Charlie, Presumed Dead’ by Anne Heltzel a couple of days ago! We received this novel from Black Inc Australia ❤️.

This novel follows the two leading characters: Lena Whitney and Aubrey Boroughs. The two girls discover a shocking betrayal, they have both been dating the same guy named Charlie. Coincidentally, they both meet in Paris on the day of his funeral as he has been presumed dead after an explosion. They realize that Charlie kept a lot of secrets of which they plan to uncover! They both have reason to believe that he is still alive.

We just think the synopsis of this novel sounds so interesting! So we can’t wait to uncover all the secrets of which it hides!34848140

We are also started reading ‘The Impossible Vastness of Us’ by Samantha Young yesterday! We received this novel via Netgalley to review.

We don’t know a lot about this novel as we only briefly started reading it however, the synopsis of this novel seems really interesting so we can’t wait to get into it!

Recently Finished –

We finished reading ‘The Ones That Disappeared’ by Zana Fraillon last night. We were actually really surprised with how much we enjoyed this novel. It was just so poetic and moving! 20401081_673498316176900_796942956_n

It explored themes of child slavery and child trafficking. The novel is about stories of survival and courage and what one must do to hold on to hope. The novel definietly gives a voice to those which have personally experienced child slavery.

We will leave a link to our review here ‘The Ones that Disappeared’ by Zana Fraillon.

Reading Next –20427916_673943842799014_224458495_n

Our next read that we are hoping to pick up soon is ‘Recruits’ by Thomas Locke. We don’t know a lot about this novel. Apparently it follows seventeen-year-old twins Sean and Dillon Kirrell who are drawn to the mysterious alternate world that’s translated within the images that cover their bedroom walls.

We find this synopsis really intriguing so we can’t wait to see what the novels all about!
